Big night: Choir

Lately, we've been singing at the top of our lungs out. Tuesday, this week, was the most busiest day of my childhood yet. Zones was the same day. After relays, which was last, I headed home to rest and prep for the big night. In case you don't know, all year, a group of students from several schools have been practising and memorising songs, from gentle songs to hard guitar types. I had plenty of water before and rest, thankfully. Personally, we got choir shirts. At 6:45 at night, all of the schools gathered in the supper room. It was so tight, and too loud to me, for sure. Minutes had past and then, it was our turn to take the stage. The National Anthem was first. I first felt nervous. My favourite song to sing was "'What About Us''. The last song was some songs in Les Miserables'. We got off stage afterwards. It was a great night, but I'd rather not do it again.

Athletics day

This week has been a fun, yet a long week. My favourite day was Athletics Day. We went by age groups. I had fun wearing mufti. All of the school gathered with blinding colours of green, blue, yellow and red. Our house group colours. The 10-11 year old (my group) kicked off the great morning doing shot-put. A range of activities were to be completed, and earning house points. The hardest activity to me seemed to be fun relays. Bear crawling and pushing a small ball is harder than it seems. 

The wonderful yet exhausting day ended with house relays!
Overall, Pukeko won the relays! With Ruru and Kea tied in second place- I'm in Ruru but I'm happy for Pukeko!😃
