Before Camp: 2019

This year, a majority of the Senior Syndicate at my school are heading off to a snowy mountain, out of Auckland, Mt Ruapehu.

Several of my many emotions of how I am feeling now, just before camp, is ecstatic, that has to be No.1, for me! Another feeling I would like to share would be my curiosity

Being ecstatic is quite an obvious one to be feeling for me because I will get to try things like skiing and sleeping in a cabin!

Curiosity is another one because I wonder how the personality of the staff and other people are like at The Crossing.

Something that will really challenge me would be getting up from the ground when skiing. Another challenge would be to sit in the bus. I really can't sit for long. I'm fortunate enough to have stops to stretch and explore.

What I might gain during camp could be to develop my skills in skiing. I might get better at socialising with others. I could also learn how to deal with a different environment.

My prediction of how I feel after camp will most likely be sad, because camp will be amazing, then I'll have to leave it. Another one could be relieved because I will be with my family again!

Many thanks for reading!

The Mud Run

Last term, an exciting event happened.

We did this one on a particular Tuesday, 2nd of July. Also known as The Junior  Tough Guy & Gal Challenge. At our school, we have this club called The Running Club. Several students that are apart of Running Club, decided that they would join this fun opportunity. It was opportunity that I could not say no to, only because the sound of it sounded pleasuring. Running Club trained hard, especially those
who've decided they'd go to the Challenge.

Our enthusiastic coach had planned this, so when it was the day the challenge was going to happen, all who were joining had been scheduled to come around

7:45 am and talked about the rides and other necessities.

When the meeting (I'll call it a meeting), was finished, people hopped into other cars to travel to our destination, which was around Helensville.

When we arrived, I felt very ecstatic but nerve-wrecking too.
Gray clouds started to hover above me, it was going to rain, well the slipperier the mud the more fun it could be! The person who was hosting told the students, and adults who were entering the rules. The most important for me would be to stay safe.

People met up at the centre and danced to some very pop songs. The host asked some people to come up to dance or choose a prize including some from my school.

After minutes of being patient, it had started! After plenty of people, I was standing beneath the starting line.

I went through some muddy obstacles. Like climbing walls. I slid down a muddy slide, that was very rebellious of me and when I came back from the race, I was muddy.  A few spots her on my T-shirt and on my shoes! I see why they call it The Mud Run to some.

Novel work- Cool

During reading crossover last term, I had read a novel. The title is ''Cool'' by Michael Morpurgo. It is quite an interesting book. I thought it was a very well written book because it had a lot twist and turns, which I usually like, as it builds up the tension.

What I noticed during the story was a couple of themes. A theme is when something is spotted throughout the story. In my book, I found that it was very emotional. To list two more, I found determination and last of all, during the middle and start, it was a bit emotional because a character, whose name is Robbie, thought his dog was dead and plenty of other parts.
After I had finished the book, I had to do these 3 following activities.

1) Cool comprehension questions
(2) Another cool comprehension questions
and last of all..
(3) Cool character description
